BREVE NEW STORIES ISSUE ONE

Issue One features two pieces by two Scottish-based authors:

Zuri Mtu a short story by Barbara Stevenson.
Zuri Mtu is an ancient tree, the last of its kind, revered by the people of its village and by his faithful tender, Kofi. Nature and local community face the challenges of the contemporary world and strive for survival, in this modern fable.

The Aberdeen Kayak a flash fiction by Michael Bloor.
In the eighteenth century, a mysterious Inuit man lands on the Scottish shore. All that is left of his journey is a kayak.
What was his story?
